Skydance Paramount Will Cut Around 2,000 US Jobs – Report

Paramount Skydance will initiate large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 positions in the United States within a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction come after the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August valued at $8.4bn.

More global layoffs are likely, as the firm planning to reveal full details in its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.

Prior news had indicated the firm planned to reduce between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs before the start of November.

As of December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 project-based staff.

The company has not provided a response regarding the report.
