'The president appears unhinged': Donald Trump's social media activity becomes more strange.
To many observers, across the United States and internationally, the former president has been behaving strangely recently. Particularly on social media.
Current Online Events
While a federal shutdown approached within the United States recently, the commander-in-chief published an artificial intelligence creation which depicted the Democratic leader, the inaugural African American minority leader, wearing a sombrero with an oversized mustache, featuring traditional Mexican music in the background.
Hispanic advocacy bodies condemned Trump's posts calling them "racist", "risky" and "reprehensible", but Trump doubled down, posting a new video that featured him donning the hat performing on guitar behind a rendering of Jeffries.
Artificial Intelligence Content and Speculative Ideas
It wasn't the only situation where Trump's behavior has seemed unusual. Recently Trump circulated via his preferred network an AI-generated fake video pushing "med bed hospitals".
"Every American will soon receive their own med bed card," the artificial version of Trump apparently seated in the Oval Office said. Through this, you'll possess guaranteed access to our new hospitals directed by premier medical experts across the country."
Putting aside the reality that the idea of "med beds" constitutes a right-leaning speculative claim – a particular iteration suggests that official bodies and/or a group of wealthy Americans have access to medical bed-like devices capable of treating numerous diseases, while hiding the advancement – the social media entry caused multiple inquiries.
Administration Answer
The entry was finally taken down, yet it continues puzzling, and the administration's reaction didn't help ease the perplexity.
"I think the president saw the video and shared it, and then took it down," the White House press secretary commented during questioning about the clip.
Additional Troubling Occurrences
During a latest address within the executive mansion where Trump claimed – contrary to prevailing research – that acetaminophen might relate to autism if used by expectant mothers, the president puzzlingly mentioned of "certain elements of genius that can be given to a baby".
The previous week, through a news conference with Britain's premier Keir Starmer, Trump confused Armenia with Albania while talking about a peace agreement struck between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Michigan Incident Response
Back in the social media world, the commander-in-chief shared on his social media platform that he "was informed" on a shooting at a Mormon church in Michigan resulting in four fatalities.
He later published more material. However, it wasn't information regarding the developing situation within the state. Instead, three hours later, he posted footage that displayed multiple gold-plated items and ornaments.
Military Address
Apart from the puzzling digital conduct, the commander-in-chief's live presentations have similarly turned strange.
The other day, Trump summoned the nation's leading armed forces leaders for a gathering in Virginia. Talking to high-ranking officers, Trump, sounding drained, promoted his claimed achievements.
"America is respected again globally. We lacked respect under Biden," Trump continued. Observers saw him descending stairs awkwardly regularly. Constantly, the individual stumbles on steps."
Government Comments
The presentation caused immediate alarm, including from former military members. Barry McCaffrey, a retired general stated on television that the commander-in-chief's delivery represented "among the strangest, unsettling events I've ever encountered".
"The commander-in-chief appeared disjointed, weary, rabidly partisan, occasionally foolish," McCaffrey said.
Trump's speech was enough for Madeleine Dean, a Democratic congresswoman from Pennsylvania, to confront the Republican congressional leader, Speaker Johnson.
"The commander-in-chief appears unstable. He appears ill," the congresswoman informed Johnson.
Johnson appeared unconcerned about the comments. "Actually numerous people from your party appear similar," Johnson responded.
